Opening Hours & Fees

Opening Hours

Poppets Pre-School runs daily during school term time from 9am to 12noon and from 1pm to 4pm. We have a lunchtime club from 12noon to 1pm, which means that children can stay all day, if parents wish.

Fees and Funding

The cost per morning session (9.00 am until 12 noon) is £28.

The cost per afternoon session (1.00 pm until 4.00 pm) is £28.

Our lunchtime club from 12 noon until 1.00 pm is available at a cost of £10 per day.  Children are required to bring in lunch from home.

Payment is requested by invoice at the beginning of each half term. We regret that we are unable to offer refunds / credits if children are absent for any reason. Payments can be made by bank transfer, cash, cheque (payable to Poppets Childcare Ltd.), childcare vouchers or the tax free childcare scheme.

We accept the following forms of Early Education Funding (EEF) : -

  • 30 hours funding for working parents (9 months to 4 years).

  • Universal 15 hours funding for all 3 to 4 year olds.

  • 2 year old funding for Families in Receipt of Additional support (FRA).

All children are entitled to 15 hours EEF the term after their third birthday and some children will be eligible for 30 hours EEF if both parents are working.  Families receiving some additional form of government support may be eligible for two year old funding.

We have no additional charges for children claiming EEF. We do not charge for food, non-food consumables or activities. Parents are asked to provide snacks and lunch, along with nappies, wipes and suncream as applicable.

Parents are able to use their funding on a fully flexible basis, covering the hours and days they require. Parents are only required to pay for hours additional to their funding offer (e.g. over 15 or 30 hours). The cost is £10 per lunch session and £28 per session.

We do not have a registration fee. We ask for a refundable deposit of £150 which is returned once you child's funding has been agreed or from your first invoice if you are paying for additional hours.

When your child is eligible for funding we will give you a parent declaration form to complete. Once we have your completed form we will send the information to the council, who then pay us directly.

We would appreciate prompt payment of fees. Non-payment may result in your child's place being withdrawn.
